sebastian bush

here is sebastiania fruticosa of the family euphorbiaceae:

native to the United States, s. fruticosa is a pretty plant with unusual flowers. this particular plant was found near the Pearl River in Jackson, Mississippi, April of 2007. s. fruticosa is listed as being severely toxic, so don't eat it, however, if you find yourself in the woods and you're all stopped up down below, you can chew on the roots for a laxative effect.
