white-flowered vetch

here is vicia caroliniana of the family fabaceae:

native to the lower 48, this particular plant was found in the woods at Mule Jail. this vine is a rather pretty plant. i have not observed the same tendency as its purple cousin to bunch up and produce copious amounts of flower.
