this flower is all along the road side and medians along the highways here in Jackson in the last few weeks of September. they make something like a carpet of yellow that is very pretty.this flower displays the ray flowers (the 'petals') and disk flowers (the tubular bunch on the face [disk] of the flower) mentioned in the ironweed post.
