this small flower is
veronica arvensis of the family
scrophulariaceae:

this little plant was introduced to the United States. it is a diminutive flower and can be found just about every one looks, with a moments patience. once recognized, it will pop out every where. the unflowered plant bears a passing resemblance to virginia button weed or a young deadnettle henbit.
