spotted sandmat

This is Chamaesyce maculata in the family euphorbiaceae:


While native the the lower 48, C. maculata appears to have been introduced to Canada.  This little native was recorded on the side of the road around the JSU stadium on October 4th of 2006.  An example of the cluster arrangement, this has a diminutive flower: a scant one millimetre in diameter. Tiny.
